Czech Embassy in Luxembourg to re-open

Publié le lundi 11 novembre 2013

The Embassy of the Czech Republic to Luxembourg is to re-open in February 2014, Luxembourg's Foreign Ministry has announced.

The Embassy closed its doors in December 2012 after ten years because of budget cuts, leaving the nearest embassy and consulate in Brussels.

At the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) in New Delhi on Monday, however, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Kohout announced to Jean Asselborn that the Embassy will reopen, a decision welcomed by the Luxembourg Foreign Minister.

Around 1,500 Czech nationals currently live in Luxembourg.

The Embassy will once again be located at Maison Pierre Werner in Boulevard Royal.
