The Chancery of the Embassy of Luxembourg
Situated on the top of the Wind hill (Větrov), in the south-eastern part of the New Town founded by Charles IV, the Embassy benefits from the peaceful neighborhood of the inspiring academic community, the unique Maternity Hospital, the spirit of the National Theater and last but not least from the consecrated presence of the church of St. Apollinaris that gave its name to the street. Built in a baroque style in 1790, with an early classic front, the house called „House at the Croats“(U Charvátů), belongs to the Prague Monument Reservation. In 1991, a substantial renovation gave the building a new look. The interior was upgraded in 2008, when the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg acquired the property to serve as its Embassy´s new seat.
