Published Thursday February 05 2015

On 30th January, following the invitation of his Czech counterpart H.E. Mr Lubomir Zaorálek, the Luxembourg Minister for Foreign and European affairs, H.E. Mr Jean Asselborn, attended the re-inauguration ceremony of the Czech Embassy in Luxembourg City. For Minister Asselborn, the event marked “a new chapter in this common book already full of remarkable pages”.

Among the many attendees were the Parliament Speaker H.E. Mr Di Bartolomeo, the Mayor of the city of Luxembourg, the former EU Commission President Santer. For the members of the ATSL association(Amitiés Tchèque et Slovaque Luxembourg) the reopening after two years came as a wonderful present.

The Embassy building, situated in the  home of former Luxembourg Prime Minister Pierre Werner, has been operational since September 2014. Luxembourg is currently home to more than 2000 Czech expats.
