Women Ambassadors visit Obrnice in North Bohemia
Together with her colleagues from Belgium, Finland, Kosovo, Morocco, Peru, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa and Sweden, Ambassador Pranchère-Tomassini paid a visit on February 26, 2014 to Obrnice in NorthBohemia, where the Mayor, Mrs. Drahomíra Miklošová, was awarded the Council of Europe’s DOSTA! prize for innovative work in combating anti-Romany sentiments and assisting Romany integration.
The Ambassadors visited the town hall, kindergarden, primary school, community center and cultural center. Talks with Mrs Mayor and her team provided the Ambassadors with extensive information. The field visit left a very positive impression on the Ambassadors who found the principles settled in Obrnice inspiring also for their respective countries.
